G. Thomas Graves III has more than 30 years of management experience in the oil and gas exploration and production sector. He is managing partner of Katy Resources LLC and Triple TTT Partners LLP (more than 1,100 property interests in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas and Louisiana). He also served as chief executive officer of Katy Resources ETX LLC. Previously, Mr. Graves was president and chief executive officer of Toreador Resources Corporation, a NASDAQ-listed oil and gas exploration and development company operating in the United States, France, Turkey, Romania, Hungary and Trinidad. Under Mr. Graves’ leadership, Toreador developed and operated the first successful exploratory drilling in the Black Sea offshore Turkey and developed, quantified and acquired the initial permits in the Paris Basin Liassic Shale play.
Mr. Graves began his energy-industry career at Triton Energy Corporation (acquired by Hess Corporation in 2001), an NYSE-listed company with exploration and production operations around the world, where he was an executive officer from 1986-1993. He was senior vice president of Triton and chairman of Triton Europe plc, a London Stock Exchange-listed company engaged in oil and gas exploration with operations in the U.K., the Netherlands, the North Sea, France, Italy and North Africa. Mr. Graves also was the chief executive of the Triton Enterprises Group that pursued nonexploration and production ventures, including the design and manufacturing of seismic acquisition equipment. In addition, Mr. Graves was lead director of Triton affiliate Input/Output, Inc., an NYSE-listed developer and manufacturer of seismic equipment.
Mr. Graves was managing partner of Gralee Partners, LLP from 1994 through 1997. Gralee managed private investments in the oil and gas sector through publicly traded securities and direct participation in exploration and production projects.
Mr. Graves is a member of the Dallas Wildcat Committee, the Dallas Petroleum Club and the Dallas Producers’ Club where he serves on the Executive Committee. He is treasurer of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas where he serves on the Executive Council. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Corporation of the Episcopal Diocese, the Episcopal Foundation of Dallas, The Endowment for the Episcopate and the Gaston Hospital Foundation. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Nashotah House and is a member of the Board of Trustees and treasurer of Uganda Christian University Partners and “The Living Church” magazine. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he received a bachelor of arts degree and a master’s degree in business administration.
